Install the game (PC)

Installer, launcher or full client

The easy way: Install MuExp

  1. On muexp.com → Download press Install MuExp.
  2. Open the downloaded file. If Windows says “Windows protected your PC”, click More info → Run anyway.
  3. It puts the game into your user folder, adds a MuExp shortcut to the desktop and opens the launcher.
  4. The launcher downloads the game (about 2 GB). You can sign in meanwhile; when it is done, press START.
To remove the game: Windows Settings → Apps → MuExp.

Only the Launcher

  • Download Launcher and open it right where it landed (Downloads, desktop) — no need to move it anywhere.
  • Is the game already on this PC? The launcher finds it, updates it and opens from there. You never get a second copy.
  • No game yet? It installs it the same way as Install MuExp.

Full client

  1. Download Full client — the whole game in one archive.
  2. Unpack it into a folder such as C:\MuExp. Not into C:\Program Files — Windows blocks the updates there.
  3. Open Launcher.exe in that folder — it brings everything up to date. Press START.
